Able to support data transmission speeds of the average home or small business user, it is the ideal solution and remains the standard for most installers who are running cable throughout a home or retail type business. Solid Cat 5e 1000ft Bulk Cable is probably the most widely used cable to date by far. Ours is ETL listed, RoHS compliant, and TAA Compliant, which makes it ideal for use where GSA approved CAT5 is required. It is widely available, comes in a variety of colors, and is relatively inexpensive.

Our Bulk Cat 5e 1000ft Cable comes packaged in a pull box, providing you with 1000 feet of high quality, unshielded, 4-pair, solid, 350Mhz Cat 5e Cable, ready for termination and routing. Simply pull the length required for your installation straight from the box and terminate at your leisure. These boxes are a great aid in large scale network installations and other long distance cable runs. And like all our bulk networking CAT5 or CAT6 Cables, these are constructed with only high-quality components that can be counted on for high performance! So let us help you make the connections you need. This solid copper cat 5e 1000ft bulk cable is CMR rated and made of 24 AWG copper wire.

If you don’t quite need a whole box or feel like building these yourself then you may be interested to know that we can custom build a wide variety of patch cables on demand. While terminating Category 5E twisted pair cables be sure the natural twist of each pair is carried through as close as practical to the point of mechanical termination. TIA/EIA 568-B.2 requires no more than 0.5 inch (13mm) untwisted for Category 5E as it will effect performance at high bit rates. Cabling should be secured and placed in a manner which prevents kinking and tight cinching. Do not excessively bend the cable greater than four times the cable diameter. Cabling should not be subject to greater than 25 pounds of pulling tension (110N). For snag resistant operation the box must be handled and stored in the upright position. Be sure to dispense / pull cable while the box is in the upright position only. For ideal conditions this cable must be stored at or above 32 degrees Fahrenheit 48 hours prior to installation.

Explanation of TAA compliancy:

As outlined by the Trade Agreement Act (1979), US Government and affiliated entities with federal contracts are required to purchase only “end products” made or substantially transformed within the United States or other TAA “Designated Countries.”  “End products” are defined by the Act as “those articles, materials and supplies to be acquired for public use.”  The TAA requires suppliers to certify that each “end product” meets these requirements. The Trade Agreement Act (TAA) is intended to foster the growth and maintenance of a fair and open trading system. TAA compliance requires that the U.S. Government (including GSA) acquires only U.S. – made or certain “designated country” end products. This means that all products must be either manufactured or “substantially transformed” in the United States or a TAA compliant country. In the situation were a product is assembled or comprised of components from several different countries, the guideline applies to the last country that the product is in before imported to the United States. At least 50% of the production must be completed by a TAA compliant country.
