These UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cables are ideal for connectivity in the home or small office. Capable of Gigabit speeds these patch cables are more than enough for most applications. Cat 5e cable (the E stands for Enhanced) has been a standard since 2001 when they were certified as needing to deliver 350Mhz making them 10 times faster than regular cat5 cable. Our Cat5E cables are made with pure bare copper wire and are UL approved.
