Mode Conditioning Fiber

Mode conditioning patch cables, or MCP cables for short, are used to connect singlemode and multimode cables. If you try to connect multi mode to single mode fiber patch cables without mode conditioning cables, it causes a kind of interference known as differential mode delay or differential mode dispersion. Thanks to their mode conditioning properties such as the multimode fiber plants in one end, these conditioning patch cord assemblies are capable of reducing the effect of DMD interference.
