Retractable coiled robotic cable
This one of a kind 15 conductor retractable cable is highly flexible and made for another of our great customers! We started with a highly flexible 15 conductor TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) rated cable. We then coil a section of the cable to a predetermined size leaving specific length tails on either end. To those tails we break out one end and attach 3 separate connectors, and a larger 12 pin connector on the other. The wiring is of course very specific and proprietary to our customers needs but we can make a similar cable for you designed to your specifications! Just give us a call or email for a quote.
We can also build these types of cables with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) rated cable. Some may ask what is the difference between TPE and FRP rated cable, the main difference is that the TPE cables are more flexible, the TPE material is rubber like and allows for easier bending making ideal for robotic and or high flexibility applications while the FRP rated jacket is more rigid than TOE it is also much stronger in general and best suited for rougher environments.
TPE cabling is ideal for robotics, conveyors or any application where the cable must be flexible and moves on a regular basis.
FRP cabling is best suited for use in cable trays or harsh conditions in general as it resists moisture, water and chemicals much better than most cabling options.
