Sticklers™ Benchtop CleanWipes™ are high quality, lint-free wipes engineered for cleaning bare fiber before splicing and for cleaning jumpers and other male connectors used in fiber optic networks. These wipes have exactly the right absorbency, quality and packaging to make cleaning fast, reliable and affordable. They are engineered to be used with the Sticklers™ Fiber Optic Splice & Connector Cleaner for the best possible cleaning results. The wipes are made from soft, hydroentangled polyester fabric, made without troublesome glues or cellulose which can leave residues on end-faces. The strong fabric resists shredding even when cleaning LC connectors. These wipes lift away fingerprint oils, grime, dust and lint. This makes them ideal for cleaning bare fiber or fiber optic connector endfaces, plus lenses, mirrors, diffraction gratings, prisms and test equipment. The packaging has been designed to make cleaning easier for technicians. The handy mini-tub is rugged and spill-proof. Each wipe is protected with a plastic over-wrap which keeps fingerprints and moisture off the wipes. The unique "Drop-n-Stop™" packaging keeps the tub from rolling when dropped, and is far more cost-effective than comparable "cartridge-style" cleaning devices. In summary, each connector and every splice must be cleaned during installation, maintenance and reconfiguration. (This is true even if a jumper is new, right out of the bag.) Most experts recommend cleaning with a damp wipe, as shown in the photo, for best results.
